Following the opening of our first store in Muscat’s Al Qurum area in 1999, we have increased our presence with seven more stores, making Sultan one of the Sultanate of Oman’s largest retailers.

Our three service stores are located in Al Qurum, Athaibah and Al Mawaleh, while our wholesale stores — focusing on offering great value for money — are located in Al Khoud and Al Amerat, as well as two smaller warehouse stores in Quiriyat and Al Amerat, offering a comprehensive range of products at competitive prices.

Still trading under the trusted Safeway brand name, Sultan has 14 stores operating across Jordan, eight service, four warehouse and two convenience. These stores offer a wide variety of quality fresh foods, household items and general merchandise.

In order to ensure that our customers enjoy a convenient shopping experience in and out of store, we introduced our home delivery service.

A unique development in the Jordanian business was the opening of Safeway Zaatari in the Syrian Refugee Camp in 2014, serving over 120,000 refugees.

In May of 2010 Sultan embarked on a new chapter of its expansion plans, opening the first of two Wholesale stores in Bahrain, later at Reef Mall and Sultan Mall. These stores offer products for single item or bulk buy purchases at low prices, with an eye for keeping our customers’ shopping experience cost-effective and enjoyable.

Our Bahrain stores offer an extensive range of quality products, from produce and fresh foods, to household items and children’s toys. Key among what you can find stocked in our Bahrain stores are our Sultan label brands, as well as secondary labels like Vectra, Pride and Dounya, all exclusives to Sultan.
